Jennene Biggins

Bio: In November 1997, Jennene founded the Voluptuous Woman Company (VWC) based out of Silver Spring, Maryland. The Voluptuous Woman Company’s motto is “Size is Just a Number..Not a Limitation.™” The company serves as a positive voice for the plus-size woman and offers informative, spiritual and empowering events such as networking receptions, conferences and other special events specifically designed to encourage plus-size women to live life to the fullest.

Regional Make-Up Artist & Instructor:Manaya Latrice

Bio: Manaya Latrice was born in Richmond, VA., but raised around all over the world. With an upbringing stemming from a military background, she discovered her passion for Makeup Artistry in 2005. Later  becoming  a MAC Certified Make-Up Artist in 2006.

Her skills and techniques are continuously redefined through extensive training.
During her career, Manaya Latrice has worked on numerous seminars, fashion shows, photo shoots,
weddings and more, with work being published in several magazines, books and calendars.
Her ability to connect with people and their needs was what brought her into the training world.
Manaya Latrice’s goal is to teach others that makeup isn’t a necessity, but an accessory!
Once with her you’ll not only look good from the outside, but you will be left feeling refreshed from the inside as well.
Stay tuned as she plans to take the cosmetics world by storm, not only as an Artist, but the Creator
of her very own cosmetics line!

Runway Instructor:Teronce Styyles

Bio: Teronce Styyles is a fashion guru that started on his journey in the fashion industry in 2002. Several years ago he began as a model but he decided to spread his wings and try his talent as a wardrobe stylist which he found to be his hidden talent that he did not know existed, after many comments and reviews about his work as a wardrobe stylist it was confirmed to be another career aspiration. His vision as a professional in the industry is for both males and females to enhance confidence and self-esteem and learn to maximize personal style. Mr. Styyles has become Mr. Do It All from being a Runway Instructor to a Host for several fashion events. Mr. Styyles has engaged in many responsibilities within the fashion industry such as conducting interviews with designers, hairstylists, make up artists, fashion show producers, models, providing tips on styling, runway techniques, do’s and don’ts of fashion, directing and styling photo shoots. He has also worked as a wardrobe assistant/model coordinator for Nolcha Fashion Week in September 2007 located in New York City.

Bio: TRICIA CAMPBELL, A JAMAICAN NATIVE HAS GRACED THE PAGES OF
ESSENCE MAGAZINE, GLAMOUR, SISTER TO SISTER, VIBE MAGAZINE, PLUS
MODELS MAGAZINE, ALMOST FAMOUS MAGAZINE AND FIGURE
MAGAZINE.
AS ONE OF THE BUSIEST FIT , SHOWROOM AND COMMERICAL PRINT PLUS SIZE MODELS. TRICIA CAMPBELL STARTED HER CAREER IN AN UNCONVENTIONAL WAY. AFTER RECEIVING HER BFA IN FASHION DESIGN FROM THE FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY . TRICIA STARTED HER CAREER AS AN ASSISTANT DESIGNER, WORKING FOR SEVERAL SPORTSWEAR COMPANIES. IT WAS WHILE WORKING AS AN ASSISTANT DESIGNER THAT SHE WAS ASKED TO BECOME THEIR PLUS SIZE FIT AND SHOWROOM MODEL. IN FALL OF 2000, TRICIA JOINED THE MODEL SERVICE AGENCY GODDESS DIVISON, AND TOGETHER, THE TEAM HAS BECOME A SUCCESS.


Virginia Program Director & Instructor of the ”Style Check” Course:Bella Styles

Bio: Bella Styles started her career as a plus size model in 2005 by attending The Plus Academy New York and doing numerous shows with program CEO Gwen DeVoe. She has since ventured off to become an advocate for plus-size women in various fields. Speaking at numerous seminars and coordinating plus-size fashion shows. She owns a business as a fashion stylist and event coordinator but also holds many other titles as well. In 2007 she was appointed as the Fashion Editor with Skorch Magazine and now has been given theprivilege of becoming the Director of one of the many new locations of The Plus Academy!

“Acting and Modeling in the Plus-Size Profession” Instructor: Model/Actress Liris Crosse

Curvy model Liris Crosse has graced the pages of Essence, Honey, XXL, The Source and Black Elegance magazines. You may also recognize Liris from being in movies and TV shows such as, “The Best Man”, “The Wire”, “Baby Boy” and “Brooklyn’s Finest” and from music video’s with artist such as Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes and Lloyd Banks. Liris appeared in a role on Law & Order SVU, which is one of her favorite shows, & will be wrapped filming her starring role in the indie film “Abidjan” which will be shot in Africa! Liris will be sharing her secrets on how she got started in this business and how to transition from both modeling to acting in this field!

“The Business of Modeling” Instructor: Linda Scott

Linda Scott is a native of Delray Bach, Fl with over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry. She began her career in Houston, Texas as a signature model for designer, Ann Goldman. After an outstanding career in runway, print, and television, Linda went on to create a motivational program for full size young ladies that would raise their self-esteem, build positive images, and assist them in realizing their full potential. Linda is the Plus Size Director at Posche Models. And she is the CEO of LS 1426 Inc., a consulting and special events company emphasizing on the plus size industry.


Virginia Program Director & Instructor of the ”Style Check” Course: Bella Styles

Bio: Bella Styles started her career as a plus size model in 2005 by attending The Plus Academy New York and doing numerous shows with program CEO Gwen DeVoe. She has since ventured off to become an advocate for plus-size women in various fields. Speaking at numerous seminars and coordinating plus-size fashion shows. Runway Instructor: Jami Freeman of Sa’Vor Enterprises, LLC

Bio: Jami is the Owner/CEO of Sa’Vor Entertainment. Sa’Vor is an events and promotional planning management consultancy with years of entertainment and management related experience. Their entertainment based business includes: fashion shows, talent management, sponsored events, promotions, and charity events.
